Roach has just announced that some of their small parts are now going to be zinc plated as opposed to painted. Some parts that have already made their way into production include support top caps, return roller brackets, butt couplings, and splice plates.
Why Zinc Plated?
Painted parts might chip leaving the underlying steel without any protection. On the other hand, Zinc Plating continues to provide protection even if the surface becomes scratched or damaged.
