What is a caster, what is a wheel, and what is the difference anyway? A Plus Warehouse show mostly casters, but also a few wheels in our caster offering. The main difference between the two is a wheel is basically just a circle with a hole in the middle. The full caster includes a yoke with the wheel.
What is a Yoke?
A caster yoke is the frame that supports the wheels. They come in different sizes and types. A typical caster order at A Plus Warehouse includes 2 swivel and 2 rigid locks. These are the type of casters that are most desirable for a material handling cart.
Pneumatic
The picture below shows a full pneumatic caster and a pneumatic wheel. They are both ball-bearing and are great for uneven surfaces or outdoors.
